| Job Description | Job Description: Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for all patients within an assigned area.

| Qualifications | Position Requirements: Graduate from a school of professional registered nursing. BSN preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. Current AHA certification in basic CPR or equivalent. One year acute care experience preferred. Orthopedic, general surgery, oncology, and chemotherapy experience preferred. Applies the nursing process in providing care; can perform basic nursing functions independently. Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with the public, patients, physicians, and co-workers. Demonstrates skills in the areas including but not limited to: advanced patient assessment, safe utilization of medications, Capable of working independently. Good written, verbal and electronic communication skills. Ability to remain flexible and positive within a rapidly changing patient care environment. Completion of annual organizational requirements for employment (TB Testing, Safety Training, mandatory inservices, etc.). Hepatitis B vaccination is recommended. Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing care for patients in the following age groups: adolescent, adult, geriatric. Keeps current in medical-surgical nursing by obtaining 6 CEU’s per year in medical-surgical nursing. Obtains chemotherapy certification within one year of hire. Keeps current in oncology nursing by obtaining four CEU’s in oncology nursing.
