| Job Description | Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for all patients within an assigned area.

| Qualifications | Position Requirements: Graduate from a school of professional registered nursing. BSN preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. Current AHA certification or equivalent in basic CPR. One year acute care experience required. One year critical care experience preferred. Applies the nursing process in providing care; can perform basic nursing functions. Demonstrates skills in the areas including but not limited to: arrhythmia interpretation, invasive monitoring, advanced patient assessment, safe utilization of medications, advanced airway management and ventilator care. Capable of working independently. Good written, verbal and electronic communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with the public, patients, physicians, and co-workers. Ability to remain flexible and positive within a rapidly changing patient care environment. Completion of annual organizational requirements for employment (TB Testing, Safety Training, mandatory inservices, etc.). Hepatitis B vaccination is recommended. Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing care for patients in the following age groups: older pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. BLS required. ACLS required. CCRN certification is recommended. Completion of critical care course is preferred. IABP certification is preferred.
